About Me

I am a registered psychologist with an area of practice endorsement in educational and developmental psychology.  I have been practicing for over 15 years and love what I do! I have extensive experience supporting individuals across the lifespan and work with clients from preschool through to older adults.   Across my career, I have had experience working in both educational and clinical settings helping my clients to thrive.

I have a special interest in treating clients with an eating disorder, those who are experiencing difficulties with body image and clients with more general disordered eating patterns. I have undertaken a diverse range of training around Eating Disorders.  Specifically, CBT training for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Family Based Therapy (FBT), Schema Therapy for Eating Disorders and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM).  I am a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC – Mental Health) giving you confidence that I adhere to best practice, regular training and ongoing supervision. I offer services to adolescents and adults experiencing difficulties in this area and work collaboratively with my client’s Care Team.

My main therapeutic approach is Schema Therapy, which assists clients to identify patterns in their thoughts and interpersonal relationships. Schema therapy incorporates principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and attachment theory to help clients gain a greater understanding of how they interact in their world on a day-to-day basis.

In addition to Schema Therapy, I have training in CBT, DBT, EMDR & EFT (and whilst that might seem like a big mix of jumbled letters, it just means I can draw on several techniques to support you as needed).

I am also a board-approved supervisor, and I take great pleasure in supporting and guiding the next generation of psychologists through their early years and beyond.
